Payment options
Choose a payment route that matches how you actually use AI and SaaS
A failed subscription payment does not always mean you need a new card. The right fallback depends on whether you are paying as an individual, freelancer or business, and on which billing route owns the subscription.
Individual
Start with the billing route you already have
Try your normal local card after confirming online, international and recurring-payment permissions. If the subscription was purchased through Apple or Google, update the payment method in that store first.

Keep client income and software spend easy to audit
If you work across currencies, separate software spending from your everyday card where practical. Compare the fees, supported countries, billing controls and recurring-payment behaviour of any account or card before relying on it.

Use a business payment setup for recurring software spend
Teams paying for international software may benefit from a dedicated business account and card setup instead of mixing recurring SaaS charges with personal banking. Product availability and eligibility vary by country.
Business partner option
Explore Wise Business for cross-border business payments
Wise offers business accounts and cross-border payment tools. If your company works across currencies, review the current Wise Business features, fees and country availability before deciding whether it fits your software-spend workflow.
When this page is not the answer
Do not open a new financial account just because one AI checkout failed. First confirm the exact billing route, issuer decline reason, billing address, 3D Secure flow, outstanding invoices and subscription status. A new payment provider is a fallback or money-management choice, not a guaranteed fix for a merchant-side rejection.
How we evaluate payment options
We look at the job the user is trying to do, not just whether a product has a card. Relevant factors include supported countries, recurring-payment support, business versus personal use, fees, billing controls, transparency and whether the payment route matches the subscription owner.
For troubleshooting first, use the AI subscription payment checklist. For users without a US credit card, see payment options without a US credit card.
